Clouds

Cloud-walls of the morning's gray
Faced with amber column,
Crowned with crimson cupola
From a sunset solemn.
May-mists, for the casements, fetch,
Pale and glimmering,
With a sunbeam hid in each,
And a smell of spring.
~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Summer

To see the Summer Sky
Is Poetry, though never in a Book it lie -
True Poems flee.

Little Flower

Little flower -- but if I could understand
What you are, root and all, and all in all,
I should know what God and man is.

I've a snug little kingdom up four pair of stairs.”

I got tagged...

This post has been a very long time in coming...
I recently got tagged by Mridula. (Mridula, I apologize...been just horribly busy).
Anyway, here are 8 things about me per rules of the tag:

1. I am crazy about photography! Nothing else drives me more.
2. Travelling and hiking are a couple of my favourite pastimes
3. I find wide, expansive landscapes enthralling.
4. I think black and white photos are fascinating.
5. I enjoy Jazz and Hindustani Instrumental on one end and Psychedelic Rock on the other end. Talk about extremes!!
6. Best poet for quotes: Robert Frost - yup, really.
7. Delhi and Chicago - my favourite places.
8. I'm having a hard time trying to figure what to put here!

There you go. All done. Kaam khatam paisa hajam :)

Dreamy

I was trying to daydream, but my mind kept wandering.

~Steven Wright

Nostalgia

Sweet childish days, that were as long
As twenty days are now.

~William Wordsworth, "To a Butterfly"

Somehow this photo got me all nostalgic about my childhood...

For Once, Then, Something

Once, when trying with chin against a well-curb,
I discerned, as I thought, beyond the picture,
Through the picture, a something white, uncertain,
Something more of the depths--and then I lost it.

-Robert Frost

Spring Colors

The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun's kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.

~Julian Grenfell

It's spring folks! Have a great time!

Light in Water

I admit. It's a boring picture. I couldn't find anything else interesting enough to photograph.

Boredom is like a pitiless zooming in on the epidermis of time.
Every instant is dilated and magnified like the pores of the face.

~Charlotte Whitton
