Light in Water

I admit. It's a boring picture. I couldn't find anything else interesting enough to photograph.

Boredom is like a pitiless zooming in on the epidermis of time.
Every instant is dilated and magnified like the pores of the face.

no i dont think this one is boring really... i have always liked any snap that manages to capture light in "not so normal" fashion.. its kinda different.

I will second Pallavi, I too like the picture, when I try to capture an object against a base, I manage to capture a lot of noise too! Your background is so even and the light in the pic is really good. I wonder if my comment is making any sense?

Pallavi and Mridula, Thanks. You're being kind. :)

Mridula, I know what you mean; noise in the photo is always a problem!

I used a sheet of white paper for the background; that's why it seems even. Plus the lighting was from a table lamp covered with a paper towel ( you wouldnt have guessed it, would you? )

I was captivated by the elegance and simplicity of your composition. It was a very unusual extraordinary perspective of a very ordinary object. It seems as though a lot of thought was invested into it. It’s like a artistic picture one would come across on Fisherman wharf on an pleasant Sunday morning. Very cool pictures on your “blog”.

I too agree with Pallavi and Mridula. Though I know little about background "noise" but I can understand what you said. People in my home too click snaps as you do. So I have learnt to appreciate it. :-)
